After suffering from a cardiac arrest , a Ramsgrate man made the decision to find a interesting hobby which has now developed into a very special cufflinks business - Cottage Cufflinks.

Up to 18 months ago, Jon Brooks had made a living by driving boats and also possessed his very own boat enterprise. Nevertheless all that changed when his wellness quickly worsened and left him with a heart attack and cardiovascular malfunction.
"It's been a difficult time, a number of challenges and problems," he said.
But then something happened after he was introduced to a rehabilitation counsellor.

"As part of the treatment I had been going to a qualified professional heart counsellor," he explained. "The lady advised me to consider a hobby to help to take my mind off of all.

"I began designing Cufflinks as I wear them but could never seek out styles to match my likes and character. I buy lego toys, Scrabble letters, pin badges, dice, buttons, then make them into the Cufflinks."

Three weeks ago, subsequently after acquiring encouraging reactions from acquaintances, he made a decision to start up his online business and provide customised cufflinks.

Within this brief time, he has already had purchases from Spain and Gibraltar and acquired over 200 likes on Facebook. He now wants to be present at a few exhibitions and may even present some of his cufflinks at the new Petticoat Lane Emporium in Ramsgate.
